Mmmmm...yummy homemade bread........

Here is a great bread recipe, so easy, so yummy!

Starter:

1/2 cup flour
1/16 (or a pinch) of yeast
1/4 cup water

This needs to sit overnight or at least 8 hours. It will be bubbly and spongy when ready.

Remaining ingredients:

1 cup flour
1/2 water
1/4 teaspoon of yeast
1/2 teaspoon of salt

Mix the above flour mixture together, mix for a minute. To this mixture add the starter. Mix using a paddle mixer on a Kitchenaid or a dough hook. Don't get the mixture too dry, this recipe will be a little sticky. When the dough forms a ball and sticks to the paddle, it's ready. Turn onto a floured board and knead by hand for a few minutes until it is smooth. Place in oiled bowl for about 2 hours. After the first rising is done, turn onto a floured board and pull into a long loaf shape. Place on a french bread pan, let rise another 1 1/2 to 2 hours until doubled. Bake in a 450 degree oven for about 26 minutes. I place a pan of water in oven to create steam.
