This is the new and cool dog hang out. The dogs have dug several large holes under this evergreen tree to keep cool, not that it has been hot, but I guess dogs will be dogs. I'm sure this poor tree won't survive all the digging, as it has left ALL the roots exposed.
It's funny to watch the two very distinctive, different styles of digging. Sam digs slowly, moving lots of dirt like a back-hoe (?)(I don't know my heavy digging equipment very well) He stands to one side and digs with one paw. Cha-cha does the fast, both paws, straddling the hole kind of dig. Either way it's a big mess.
